Biography  I was born in 1974 and grew up in Dorset. After school, I studied Theatre Studies for two years at The Jellico Theatre, (Bournemouth and Poole College of further education). After graduating, I took two years off from studying, and worked in a variety of jobs ranging from a childrens entertainer for Bournemouth Councils summer entertainment scheme, to a lighting technician for the Mowlem Theatre in Swanage. I then ventured North to study Media Studies at Salford University for two years, and after graduating, I joined Piccadilly Management Theatrical Agency and become a 'professional' actor. Since then, the majority of my theatre credits have consisted of European tours with 'ETC- The English Theatre Company of Barcelona' and 'Angels Theatre Company', where I had the pleasure of playing Sergeant Trotter in Agatha Christie’s ‘The Mousetrap’! I have also toured extensively over Britain with 'Quantum Theatre for Science', and joined 'The Lamproom Theatre' in Barnsley for two Christmas Pantos, where I played the Dame in both 'Aladdin' and 'Dick Whittington'.
My television credits include the role of ‘Stevens’ in BB2’s ‘The League of Gentlemen’, a Christies Cancer Research commercial and the voice-over for two Bob the Builder commercials. My film credits consist of roles in the short films ‘Jealousy’ and ‘Autumn Leaves’, and a feature film ‘Brannigans March’.
When not acting, I have taught inmates creative writing at HMP Buckley Hall prison, and I also work as a teacher and theatrical director during performance camps and arts festivals for the Belgium language school 'Roeland'. I have also directed plays for both 'Quantum Theatre' and 'ETC- The English Theatre Company of Barcelona', as well as writing and producting a variety of music and songs for their shows. When possible, I also perform in a variety 'Role-plays' for various companies, host hen parties for 'Big Monty Productions' and spend any free time writing a variety of screenplays for both TV and film. I also work as a photographer and am attempting to write a childrens novel . |
